Before Homesteader

Homesteader Health Foods now offers service to Quesnel, thanks to the roots that Green Tree Health & Wellness set down in the community. Marilyn Allin brought Green Tree to life in 2008, and grew it into a bustling business based on a focus on customer service and providing valuable information. Green Tree prided itself on carrying local products, produce, and organic grains, while supporting local and surrounding farmers and small business entrepreneurs. The store’s selection grew quickly into a wide variety of vitamins, herbs, personal care, sports supplements, fresh ground peanut butter and organic flour. Business started booming, and Green Tree had to find a larger space to accommodate the growing customer base and demand for more healthy, organic options. In time, the store also added practitioners to their offerings for a truly integrative experience.
Fast forward to 2023, and Marilyn was starting to feel ready to move on from Green Tree. Which is when Roseanne Woods, having a longstanding history with Homesteader Health Foods, saw the opportunity for the store to branch into the community of Quesnel.

Passing on the Torch

Roseanne and Travis Woods moved to the Quesnel area from Fort St John, where Roseanne had worked at Homesteader Health Foods for over 10 years. When they spotted Green Tree Health & Wellness up for sale, Roseanne had the vision to extend Homesteader’s reach, and spread her own passion for health. She got in touch with Steve and Trish, who were just as excited for the opportunity!
The decision was made and Homesteader decided to open its doors in Quesnel. Roseanne’s husband was brought on board as management, and the two have been spearheading the store for Steve and Trish ever since.

Continuing to serve Quesnel and Area

Our Quesnel store is dedicated to continuing to provide the products and services Green Tree’s customers already love, while also seeking to expand our selection. And we have recently partnered with Polkadotti Farm to add fresh, local produce to our store! Not finding what you're after?
